It is expected that the mine will be put into operation by the end of 2027, the service life will exceed 20 years, while the average annual production of copper will be 300 thousand tons, and gold – 490 thousand ounces during the first ten full years of operation. The content of copper and gold in the processed ore for the entire life of the mine is estimated at 0.47% and 0.27 g/t, respectively, while an increased content is expected in the first years of production.
Construction of GOK and development of Udokan copper deposit

Udokan is the largest undeveloped copper deposit in Russia and one of the largest in the world. The capacity of the first stage of MMC at Udokan will be up to 15 mil tons of ore with an output of up to 135 thousand tons of copper per year. Taking into account the second stage, the output of processing will increase to 40 mil tons of ore per year. The cost of the first stage of development of Udokan was estimated at $2.9 bn, the second stage – at $4 bn. The launch of the first stage of production is scheduled for 2023.
Sulphur programme at Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant and Copper Plants

A large-scale environmental project involving the utilisation of sulphur dioxide at the Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant and Copper Plants, which are part of the Polar branch of the company with a drastic reduction in emissions of pollutants. Within the framework of the programme, the launch of sulphur projects to capture emissions at the Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant and Copper Plants is being developed. The development of the sulphur programme will help the Polar Branch (Norilsk) significantly reduce SO2 emissions.
Expansion of production of non-ferrous and precious metals

JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex will expand the production of non-ferrous and precious metals by more than $1 bn. The corresponding resolution was signed by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. To do this, geological exploration will be carried out until 2024, a quarry and facilities of copper processing plant No. 3 will be built with an output of production and processing of 60 mil tons of ore per year.
Development of the Montenegrin copper-nickel ore deposit

The project involves the construction of a mining and processing complex with a processing capacity of 7 mil tons of ore per year based on the Montenegrin deposit. The development of the Chernogorskoye deposit will be the first stage of the development of the Russian Platinum Group project in the Norilsk Industrial District. The next stage is the involvement in the development of reserves in the southern part of the Norilsk–1 deposit.
Projects of the Malmyzhskoye deposit

RCC (Russian Copper Company) has announced plans to purchase the Malmyzhskoye deposit in the Khabarovsk Territory. This deposit is considered one of the largest gold-copper-porphyry deposits in the world. It is located 220 km from the border with China, there is a federal highway in close proximity. The company will consist of four quarries, overburden dumps, a concentration plant, tailings dump and an industrial facility. The processing capacity of the future mining and processing plant will be 56 mil tons of ore per year. The first stage will start operating in 2023. Total investments in the project are estimated at more than $ 1.8 bn, the approximate service life of the deposit is 25–37 years.
